Video of the first launch of my rebuilt Vaughn Brothers A.S.P on an Estes D12-5. This is the rocket that is pictured on the cato page. Original parts used are the nose cone, fins and centering rings. The top centering ring has a braided wire shock cord attachment. Video taken with a DJI Mavic Mini hovering at about 20 feet.
Video of the second launch of my rebuild Vaughn Brothers A.S.P. This launch was on a Quest Q-Jet C12. The C12 is a composite motor made by Aerotech and using Fast Jack propellant.
Video of a night-time static test of an Estes B6-4 motor. The motor was from a pack that bought second-hand (garage sale, I think.) The package had some water damage, and had unknown storage history. The motor functioned fine. Interestingly, in the tracking smoke phase, the motor seemed to still have a bit of a flame jet and sputtered a couple times. The ejection charge worked properly and popped the motor out of the sand in which it was buried. Note that the video has audio but is black until the motor starts.
